Hello Jersey Shore Community,
This update is regarding our return from the Thanksgiving Break. While we know that the Governor and Department of Health has strongly discouraged getting together over the break, we also know how important time with families is to all of you. In an effort to protect the health and safety of our entire school community, I have consulted with the Board of Directors and Department of Health on the timing of symptom presentation. If someone is exposed to Covid on Thanksgiving Day, a 10-day quarantine would be over by Monday, December 7th. For this reason, I am keeping all schools in remote operation for December 1st-4th. This will be done exactly as it was last Friday, November 20th. Part of the reason for this is that anyone who is exposed over this holiday break will be able to quarantine without missing work or school and protect our schools from contributing to the spread of Covid 19. When we return on December 7th, we will be returning safely knowing that anyone who comes through our doors will have to be screened to enter and has had time for symptoms to present. I ask that you take this additional week to stay home, take part in school remotely and help us stop the spread.
