To the Jersey Shore School District community,

We had a great first few days of school.  If you did not join us on Friday at the Thompson Street Stadium, make plans to join us soon.  The Band did an awesome job kicking off the night. The youth league showed us a bright future. The cheerleaders had us all hyped up. The football team pulled off a big win.  And we announced that the district received $5K from TMobile on our way towards the grand prize that would be used to rehab the stadium. This weekend, we will have time off to commemorate Labor Day.  This holiday is set aside to recognize the contribution of the American worker to our society.  When we return from break, our students will also be remembering September 11^th.  Please take time to reinforce the importance of these days with your students.

Now that we are back in session, pay attention to our buses as they make their daily routes. Throughout our community, please watch for students that are waiting for buses and those that are walking to and from school.

Remember that the district will be closed on September 4^th and 7^th for the holiday weekend.  We will be closed to students on Friday, October 9^th and Monday, October 12^th.
