To the Jersey Shore School District community,

I hope that this letter finds you all well and you were not significantly impacted by flooding. Many in our area were and the amount of road issues due to flooding and downed trees forced the need to close schools today.

I want the community to be aware that surface flooding on Locust Street did impact the Middle School building on the Locust Street end only. Custodial and Maintenance staff responded quickly and cleaned up classroom spaces. The district has been in contact with our insurance provider and will be working with an external contractor to remediate the basement flooding and be sure that the building is clear for staff and students to return.

Thank you,

Dr. Ulmer
