Business and Computer Technologies courses at Jersey Shore provide an open door to successful employment. The demand for persons with business skills is constantly growing, especially in the accounting/finance, marketing, administrative assistant, and computer-related fields.
The Jersey Shore Business and Computer Technologies Department offers business courses designed to develop skills and knowledge in personal finance, time management, organizational skills, technology skills, and goal setting. Much of this knowledge can be used throughout the students’ lives in important areas such as checking accounts, mortgages, loans, insurance, taxes, business management, decision making and technology. At the very least, we want all of our graduates to possess the technical skills needed to effectively use computers and the information resources they provide. The courses offered by the Business and Computer Technologies department are designed to provide a basic knowledge of business, computing and a vision of how changing information technologies impact our society.
Graduates are prepared to exercise critical thinking in a variety of business areas and to understand and use information technology to solve problems. The courses also provide the skills and competencies that will be necessary for those who want to further their education in college.
