Hello Jersey Shore Community,

The warmer weather has us thinking about Spring.  That brings with it thoughts about the end of the school year.  Encourage your student to put in their best effort to finish the year strong.

 Preparing Students for their Future

• High School students will have a Career Fair on April 25^th.
• If you have a senior, please remind them to check the website for scholarships.
• In addition to the infrastructure projects that the Board has approved, I am working on a long-range plan to share with the Buildings and Grounds committee and Board of Directors.

Looking forward to 2025/2026

• Kindergarten registration for next year is still open. All registrations will be accessible online via the district website.  If you do not have access to a computer, please call (570) 398-5253 to schedule an appointment.
• We have numerous open positions that need to be filled for the next year. Check the website for more details.
• The administration continues to work on the action plan for closing Salladasburg that includes all district departments. The class size projections and staffing information presented at the hearing have not changed. Through retirements and Bid Day, the district will reduce 5 positions. The student day at JSE will mirror current operations and the Board has been given a tour to see that in person.

Musical productions

Thanks to our students who put on great shows this Spring.   Please join us for the Indoor Ensemble on March 29^th.

The district will have a 2-hour early dismissal on Friday, March 28th for the end of Marking Period 3.  The district will be closed on Monday, March 31^st.

The district will also be closed April 17^th, 18^th and 21^st.
