September 11, 2025

Hello Jersey Shore community,

The 2025, 2026 school year is off to a great start!

Today, our buildings took part in remembrances of September 11 honoring fallen heroes. As I write this letter, I ask that you join our students in remembering 9/11 but also think about September 12th. Twenty-four years ago, September 12th was for many people a defining moment in their own life. September 12th was a day marked the sadness and worry, but most importantly it was a day filled with togetherness. I remember people sitting quietly together, watching the news, candlelight vigils, family, gatherings, and a nation coming together to figure out a path forward. As we remember September 11th today, please go into tomorrow, remembering the lessons of September 12th.

Now that school is back in session, please pay attention to our crossing guards and stopped buses.  It is up to all of us to make sure that students’ safety is maintained.

Don’t forget that schools will be closed on Friday, October 10, 2025.   Monday October 13, 2025 will be a teacher professional development day and there is no school for students.

Thank you,

Dr. Ulmer
