January 9, 2026
Happy New Year Jersey Shore Community,
District students have continued to be busy over the break at tournaments and practices. Please watch our website and Facebook page for updates about Winter Sports and Indoor Guard.
The district has partnered with The Asservo Project, The Greater Hope Care Center and the Office of Senator Cris Dush to bring a presentation on Human Trafficking to students in the Middle and High Schools. Prior to that presentation, parents have the opportunity to hear it on January 19th at 6pm in the High School Auditorium.
January brings with it colder weather and illness. I spend a lot of time watching weather patterns to be sure that we can get to school safely. Our custodial and maintenance staff work hard to keep buildings clean and sanitary. Please help us in that effort by keeping students home when they are not feeling well.
High School students are in the middle of Winter Keystone Exams. Please encourage students who are taking them to put forward their best effort. We saw increased performance in last year’s Keystone Exams, and we want that to continue.
Please note that we will dismiss 2 hours early on Friday, January 16, 2026, to end Marking Period 2. Students will not have school on Monday, January 19, 2026.
Happy New Year,
