The district continues to be in contact with law enforcement as the search continues for Adam Taylor.
Today, I made the difficult decision to move school to remote learning and cancel events. This was done to make sure that all students were safe while the search continued. I appreciate your understanding as we navigated a unique security incident.
I want to thank district staff and administration, parents and law enforcement who helped secure buildings and release students safely on Thursday evening. This effort went very well and showed the value that staff place on keeping students safe.
Remember that students do not have school Monday, January 19th as planned on the school calendar. District officials will maintain contact with law enforcement to plan a return to school in person next week.
At this time, the matter is ongoing and being handled by law enforcement. More details will be shared as the district is able.
