Hello Jersey Shore Community,

During the month of March, the PA Department of Education audited our Special Education Department for our regular 6-year cycle. The monitors reported seeing a positive atmosphere everywhere they went in the district and were impressed by our teachers, staff and administration. Kudos to our administration, staff and students for representing Jersey Shore well. Thank you to the parents who participated in monitoring interviews.

Planning for 2026 – 2027
As we enter marking period 4, we are planning for the next school year. I mentioned earlier in the month that the school calendar has been approved. High school students are starting to schedule courses for next year.

State Testing
PSSAs will begin in grades 3-8 the week of April 20th.

Kindergarten Registration
Don’t forget to register students for kindergarten. Appointments are required. Call 570-398-5253 to schedule an appointment. Please share this information with anyone who may have a child who can start kindergarten in the Fall.

The district will dismiss 2 hours early on Friday, March 27th for the end of Marking Period 3. The district will be closed April 2nd, 3rd, 6th and 7th.
