Child Labor Law requires minors (an individual under 18 year of age) to obtain work permits prior to beginning work.

Work Permit Procedure:

1. Obtain a work permit application from the guidance office when school is in session.  Otherwise, it may be obtained from the main office.
2. The application must be signed by a parent or guardian.
3. The student returns the application and must then be present to sign the actual work permit.
4. A copy of the permit should be provided to the employer and the original kept by student.
