Bio:

Dr. Ken Dady joined the Jersey Shore School District team in 1997.  He started out as a 6th grade teacher at Jersey Shore Elementary, then spent the following five years as a 6th grade teacher at Avis Elementary.  In 2003, Ken began his administrative journey when he became the assistant principal for Salladasburg Elementary and Nippenose Valley Elementary.  From 2006 to 2014 Ken was the principal for Jersey Shore Elementary School.  He was the principal for Avis Elementary from 2011-2014.  Currently Ken is the principal for Salladasburg Elementary School and the co-principal for 6th Grade at the Jersey Shore Middle School.

Ken Dady grew up in the Midwest.  He was born in Michigan, and lived in Michigan until the age of nine.  At that time his family moved to Columbus, Ohio, and eventually to Bellefountaine, Ohio, where Ken’s parents still live today.  Ken has one sister who also lives in Ohio, a brother-in-law, and 3 nieces and nephews.

Ken has also experienced many of the different venues of education.  From Kindergarten through 3rd grade  he attended the public school, and he spent 4th and 5th grade in a private school.  At that time Ken’s father began traveling quite a bit for his job, so from 6th grade on through high school Ken was home-schooled in order to travel with his parents.  Upon graduating high school in 1988, Ken attended two different private colleges.  He attended the Word of Life Bible Institute for a year, then transferred to Cedarville University where he completed a B.A. in Elementary Education.  It was while he was attending Cedarville that Ken met his wife, Charlotte, who graduated from Jersey Shore High School.  They got married in August of 1994, and currently have two children.  Ken finished his Masters at Penn State in 2001, obtained his Principal’s Certification in 2002, and received his Ph.D. at Penn State in 2010.
