Students enrolled in this program study the application of technological and scientific principles to the planning, functional design, operation, and management for any mode of transportation to provide for the safe, rapid, comfortable, economical, and environmentally compatible movement of people and goods. The program is based on NATEF standards. In-depth training in engine, brake, steering, suspension, electrical, fuel, and emissions systems will be accomplished. Curriculum also includes electronic ignitions systems and computerized engine control and fuel systems, along with combustion systems including gas, diesel and alternative fuels. The program utilizes industry standard up-to-date electronic diagnostic test equipment. students are taught to use service and technical manuals, as well as Computer Information Systems.
