Community Letter 6.1.2023

Hello Jersey Shore Community,

On the last day of school, I am writing to ask you to reflect on this school year.

While one school year does not seem that long – a lot has accomplished in one school year. As I took some time to reflect, I was struck by the enormity of what was accomplished in the past year.  Here are some of the numbers:

  • 2,134 students
  • over 250,000 lunches
  • 172 teachers
  • Countless miles driven by buses
  • 180 days
  • 100s of athletic events
  • 380+ staff
  • 5 buildings
  • 81,000 instructional minutes per student
  • 12 board members
  • 1,000s of moms, dads and families
  • 23 administrators
  • Countless volunteer hours
  • One Bulldog Nation that pulled it all off!

I continue to feel honored to lead this school community and thank you all for trusting me.  Take time this summer to relax and let your kids be kids.  The administrative team and I will be working all summer to be sure that we are ready to respond to the needs of your students in the fall.

Happy Summer,

Dr. Ulmer
