Community Letter 11.1.23

November 1, 2023

Hello Jersey Shore Community,

As I write this letter, students and teachers are wrapping up the first marking period of the 2023-2024 school year. Continue to watch our website and social media for updates on what is happening in our buildings. Our students have been busy learning. Whether it be kindergarten at the pumpkin patch or FBLA traveling to compete, our staff and students have been at their best and making us Bulldog Proud.

As we reach this milestone of the school year, please continue to check in on the progress of your students. Parent-Teacher conferences will take place on November 20 and 21. Watch for communications from the school buildings and classroom teachers to set up conferences. Remember that report cards will be provided electronically through our parent portal. If you have not set that up, you can find directions here – Parent Portal Directions.

The Board of Directors recently approved the agreement with Lycoming County for the Administration Building to be used as a polling place. Note that beginning with the November 7, 2023 election, the Administration Building will be closed for school business on election day to accommodate its use as a polling place.

The district will be dismissing 2 hours early this Friday, November 3, 2023. In addition, students will not have school on November 20th and 21st for Parent-Teacher Conferences. The district will be closed for the Thanksgiving Holiday from November 22nd through November 27th with students returning on Tuesday, November 28th.

All the best,

Dr. Ulmer
