Hello Jersey Shore Community,
We are halfway through the first marking period and students are doing an incredible job learning. As always, pay attention to our social media, website and school communications for updates about what is happening in our schools.
We just wrapped up a busy Homecoming week and have been celebrating a number of athletic accomplishments. Thanks to our music department staff for putting together the Star Spangled Spectacular and our Student Council for arranging Homecoming festivities.
Throughout this fall season, we have had issues at each home football game with elementary and middle school student behavior. Our first attempt to resolve this was to run announcements at the games reminding parents that they are responsible for their children. We continue to have issues. With one more home game remaining, I am asking that you have a conversation with your children about behavior at athletic events. Consider the last home game their chance to show us that they can rise to our behavioral expectations. If our security staff and School Resource Officers are required to spend considerable time at the last home game addressing elementary and middle school student behavior, we will implement rules for Fall 2025 that restrict their attendance.
Students will not have school on Friday, October 11th and Monday October 14th.
All schools will dismiss 2 hours early on November 1st to end Marking Period 1.
Thank you,
Dr. Ulmer
