Hello,
This is Brian Ulmer, Superintendent of the Jersey Shore Area School District.
You are receiving this message as a family of a Jersey Shore student. Today, we experienced another rise in staff absences due to exposure of family members, personal issues, etc. Tomorrow and Friday (Jan. 20th and 21st), The Middle and High School will move to remote learning. Please note that this is not being done because of a large exposure, but we cannot continue to sustain our schools with the sheer number of staff that are out due to individual situations and exposure to cases. Allowing for remote learning, will eliminate our concern for staffing. Students will be sent home today with needed items to learn remotely. Students will return to school on January 24th. Please see the attached Flexible Instructional Day Procedures for a learning schedule that will be followed by staff and students.
Thank you.
Dr. Brian Ulmer
Superintendent
