Unpaid 2023 School tax has been turned over to the county collection offices. Please contact their office to find out how much you owe and to arrange your payment.
The Jersey Shore Area School District cannot accept any delinquent payments.

The Jersey Shore Area School District real estate tax bills are mailed to property owners on July 1st of each year.  The deadline to pay is December 31st.  All unpaid tax bills after December 31st are turned over to county collections and are NOT collected by the school district.  Contact the county that your property is located in regarding your delinquent payment.

Requesting a Tax Certification

To request a tax certification, email your request to taxoffice@jsasd.org or fax to 570-398-5089.   Tax certification fee is $10 per tax cert payable to Jersey Shore Area School District, 175 A&P Drive, Jersey Shore PA 17740.  Requests will be processed and tax certs emailed as soon as possible but no later than 7 business days.  If you prefer that we fax the tax cert, please specify and  provide your fax phone number.  If we do not receive your payment for the tax cert in a timely manner, we will discontinue processing tax cert requests from your organization until we receive your payment.

Requests for Waiver of Additional Charges

Act 57 allows taxpayers who fail to receive a tax notice during their first year of occupancy to apply for a waiver from penalties and additional costs from the tax collector. Click here for the waiver form and requirements.

Interim Tax Bills

Interim tax bills are generated by Lycoming county and mailed by the school district in February and August. Interim taxes are assessed in the event of new construction or improvements to an existing property or for a new parcel of land which increases the assessed value of the property.  Interim tax bills do not replace any previous and/or future tax bills. Payments must be made payable to:  Jersey Shore Area School District, 175 A&P Drive, Jersey Shore PA 17740 and can either be mailed or placed in the mail slot any time of day.  Payments will not be accepted at the bank.  Click here for FAQs and further explanation of Interim tax bills.

Property Tax / Rent Rebate Program

The rebate program benefits eligible Pennsylvanians age 65 and older; widows and widowers age 50 and older; and people with disabilities age 18 and older.  You will need a tax payment receipt to send with your paperwork so please be sure to mail in a self-addressed stamped envelope and the “Tax Payer Copy” of your tax bill when paying your tax bill by mail or if paying in person at the bank.  The “Tax Payer Copy” will be stamped as receipt of your payment.  Click here for further explanation of the program and filing requirements.

Property Tax Exemption for Veterans

Pennsylvania Veterans may be fully exempt from property taxes on their primary residence if the Veteran has a disability rating of 100% due to service-related causes. To receive the exemption, Veterans must show financial need. Those with an annual income below $108,046 are given a presumption of need for the exemption. Veterans with a gross annual income above $108,046 are considered to have a financial need for the exemption when their monthly expenses are more than their monthly household income.  Click here for exemption requirements.

Local Earned Income Tax Filing

Jersey Shore Area School District does not process local earned income taxes. Please do not mail your returns or drop off at Jersey Shore Area School District.
