Hello Jersey Shore Community,
Yesterday, the district was informed by PPL that power will be off to the area that
includes Salladasburg Elementary for approximately 3 hours on September 21,
2022. After conferring with the team internally, I am writing to make you aware
that on September 21, 2022 all students at Salladasburg Elementary School will
have a Flexible Instructional Day (FID).
This only impacts the students and staff at Salladasburg Elementary.
Please note that the communication from PPL indicates that if weather prohibits
them from completing the required repair on September 21, 2022, it will be
moved to September 22, 2022. In that case, I will communicate with families
and staff that we will make a change.
Please find attached a copy of the 2022-2023 Flexible Instructional Day
procedures that will be followed on that day.
I apologize for this disruption, but we cannot operate the school with a
multiple hour electricity interruption.
