Hello Jersey Shore Community,
This winter season our student programs continue to have success. Congratulations to our
cheerleaders who qualified for state competition. Congratulations to Sarah Andrus who
represented JSASD at the District 8 Chorus Festival. Continue to watch our social media and
website for updates on our students and school activities.
Kindergarten Registration
Kindergarten registration for the 2023-2024 school year will be held February 13-17, 2023 at
the Administration Building. Appointments are required. Call 570-398-5253 to schedule an
appointment. All forms can be printed from the JSASD website or picked up at the
Administration Building. All required documents must be included for registration to be
completed.
Snow Days
We have had 4 Flexible Instructional Days district wide and one for Salladasburg Elementary for
a power outage. The district is permitted 5 total. I am working with the Department of
Education to complete paperwork to declare the day off for Salladasburg as an Emergency
Closure. That would give us one more Flexible Instructional Day for the whole district. With
more winter left, additional days off could cause make up days to occur on the April dates.
Please note that April 6th and 11th are listed as make up day #6 and #7.

The district will be closed to students on Friday, February 17th for faculty professional
development and closed on Monday, February 20th.
