Hello Jersey Shore Community,
The district has been made aware of incidents of swatting across the State of Pennsylvania and in Lycoming County today. Swatting is when someone falsely calls and reports an active incident. I am sending you this message to assure you that there are no active threats at JSASD. I have been in contact with local law enforcement, district administration and spent time in schools myself today. Please know that we take school safety seriously and make every effort to keep students safe. While we do not talk about security measures openly with the public, the district administration and Board of Directors has continued to upgrade building security and complete trainings with staff and students to make our buildings more secure. I appreciate your concern for staff and students.
